Merry Christmas! We hope you had a wonderful holiday, ours was great! We enjoyed some nice time off of work and got to spend a lot of time with family and friends. We headed up to Reinbeck on Christmas Eve and went to church with Gma Verla and the whole family. It was also Gpa Wayne's b-day so we celebrated in spirit with him. On Christmas morning we opened presents with Kyle's family and of course Peyton was spoiled. She opened all her presents and then went around the room and opened everyone else's for them as well. She got a trike among other things from Gma and Gpa Dirks and a giant train table set from uncle Nick and Tyson. She loves "choo choo's." That afternoon we headed back over to Gma Verla's for dinner and presents. Peyton and her cousin Jada were the center of attention as usual.
On Monday we headed up to MN to my families house. We actually opened presents that night with them and again Peyton was spoiled! She got a cozy coup car among others. We stayed in MN until Thursday so we could visit and see a couple friends as well.
What did Kyle and I get for Christmas?? Well, cash! We both had a high ticket item picked out, or in my case already purchased, so most everyone gave us money to go towards that. I got myself a new Cannon T31 DSLR camera. I love it! Still getting it all figured out but before long, I'll have some awesome photos! Kyle wants new Titleist golf clubs (of course)!
We didn't really do anything for New Year's Eve. Went to the mall for a bit with Peyton and stopped by Cheesecake Factory for some yummy to-go, watched a movie and struggled to stay awake until midnight. Here are some photos from our week.
