Logan's 2 Month Check-Up

Our little man is 2 months old already!!  Wow has time flown by!  He had his 2 month check up yesterday and doc says he's doing great!  He got his first round of multiple shots and as you can imagine was not a huge fan!  It was however, a little easier on us after going through it with Peyton.  No tears from mom or dad and L man only cried for a a minute or so... then passed out for a super long nap!

2 Month Stats:
Height: 23.5 in (69%)
Weight: 11 lbs, 13 oz (51%)
Head: 40.5 in (60%)
Peyton at 2 months: Height 23 in, Weight 11 lbs,  Head 38.5

I thought for sure he was going to top the charts with his weight, he just seems to eat a ton and has gotten so big, but I guess he's pretty average for being a boy etc...  I'm not sure all the factors that go into the percentile figuring but I'll take it.  Compared to his 2 week check, his weight was by far the biggest jump packing on 4 lbs.  Doc told him he could go ahead and keep "porking" out if he wanted!  haha!

As a 2 month old, the milestones are pretty basic still.  He's smiling more and more everyday and tracks our faces and objects as we pass by him.  One milestone we are still anxiously waiting on is sleeping through the night.  The little guy just hasn't figured that one out quite yet.  He's eating 4 oz every 2 hours during the day so we're going to try and drag that out a bit more so he's eating less often.  A two month old should typically be eating 24-30 oz in a day and we've figured out that he's been taking closer to 36oz a day.  Hopefully if we can get on a better feeding schedule during the day he might make it a bit longer overnight!  Say a little prayer for us, cause mama has to go back to work in 11 days!!

Here are some pics of Logan at 2 months.  Enjoy!

Princesses, Pumpkins and Pirrouette's

Okay, so maybe we're not quite to Pirouettes but it's official, I'm a dance mom!  Little miss Peyton has started dance class.  My friend Kasey has a studio in Bondurant, which is a little bit of a drive for us, but Peyton LOVES to dance!  So far, she is loving class and talks about "Miss Kasey" all the time!  I even caught her teaching her baby's to do somersaults and instructing them to follow miss Kasey!  Way too cute!  I can't wait for her first recital!

A few weeks ago we decided to take Peyton to Valley West Mall for family night   They bring in a ton of inflatable slides etc... have face painting and on that night princesses!  I have never seen such chaos, kids running and screaming everywhere but it was a lot of fun!  We had to wait in line for each activity and of course Peyton was not a fan of that but they weren't too bad.  They looked a lot longer than they actually were just because all the parents were standing there too.  She had a blast and did everything we could except for the face painting because that did take too long.  One of the highlights was Snow White and Sleeping Beauty.  Peyton got her picture taken with each of them but wouldn't really talk to them much.  These princesses were serious too, in full character with the voice and everything.

I can't believe its October and almost Halloween already!  We've visited two pumpkin patches, one here in Des Moines and one up in MN when we visited by family.  Unfortunately, we didn't even buy a big pumpkin yet!  All Peyton wanted was the little pumpkins so we have three baby one's sitting on our step now.  We did get the kiddo's their costumes but I'll wait to post those later!  Here are a few pics.
