Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

January is just about over already so I figured I better better post Christmas and New Years before it's spring!  We had a really nice break for the most part.  Christmas came a little early on the Dirks/Ubben side.  With every one's schedules, it just worked out for us to celebrate the weekend or two before.  That forced us to get our shopping done even earlier, which was a task in itself!  Then we headed up north to MN to the Williams side to celebrate my sister's 30's birthday and Christmas.  We stayed up there for a few days and got some good Grammy Pammy and Papa Dave time in.  Between the two Christmas' there were way too many presents.  These two kids aren't spoiled at all!  (I hope you sense the sarcasm!)
{Logan and Santa.  Peyton wanted nothing to do with the big guy}

{tried the lights and baby shot.... maybe next year..}

{yes! more little dolls}

{Peyton loves the opening part, pretty sure she opened most of  every one's presents}

{Happy B-day to my sis!  Welcome to the 30's!}
 We survived Christmas and made it back to Des Moines in time to start making plans for New Years Eve.  As shocking as it may sound, we actually had plans to go out and I was pretty excited about it!  Gma and Gpa Dirks were going to come for the night to watch the kids and everything.  I'm sure you can sense where this is going..... Unfortunately,  the flu bug had other plans for us!  Both kids got sick with fever, runny and stuffy noses, coughs etc...that seemed to last forever!!  Kyle and I both managed to escape it for for the first week and then it caught us both.  I was the last one to get it but didn't last long for us.  Poor Logan is still all plugged up but pretty darn happy otherwise.  I did manage to get one pic in the midst of our illness.
{Happy New Year!}
 Until next time...
